To directly support the Guardian ad Litem Program of the 19th Judicial Circuit representing the children of Martin, St. Lucie, Okeechobee and Indian River Counties. The Florida GAL program advocates for abused, neglected and abandoned children in the State of Florida's child welfare system.
We raise funds to support and assist our communities' vulnerable children by meeting their personal, educational, medical, and legal needs.
We build relationships throughout the greater Treasure Coast region to advance the work of the Guardian ad Litem Program and ensure that each child in need of a Guardian ad Litem receives one.
How We Support the GAL Program
GAL volunteers are dedicated to serving the children in every case to which they are assigned. Each is passionate about meeting the needs of our region's most vulnerable children. Many times, needs arise that are not covered by the GAL program, so the idea to form a nonprofit to raise funds and provide additional support to the GAL Program arose, leading to the creation of Voices for Children of Okeechobee and the Treasure Coast (Voices OTC).
When a Guardian ad Litem (or G.A.L.) makes a request on behalf of a child in foster care, whether for a bed, a bicycle, or any number of everyday needs, we rise to meet it thanks to the generosity of donors. A “G.A.L. Pal” is someone who gives as little as $5.00 monthly to help make that possible.
